It is almost field hockey season and we hope everyone is having a good summer and is as excited about the upcoming field hockey season as we are. At the bottom of the page we have given you the schedule for the first two weeks of preseason. Please plan your schedule accordingly to accommodate the schedule. Also, if you already know of dates that you will not be here, please call one of us and let us know so we can plan our practices accordingly.
We plan to select the varsity team during the first 2 weeks of preseason. We are looking to select highly skilled, hard working, physically fit players who show the desire, ability, attitude and commitment to play at the varsity level.
We look forward to seeing you all out on the field. If you haven’t been running this spring, now would be a great time to start. We will be doing the 1 mile, ¼ mile and 100yd sprint the first day. Start yourself out easy, short distances at a comfortable pace and then built up your distance and pace over the course of the summer. Sprint work will be good too! Please call either of us if you are looking for ideas for workouts. Also remember to get your stick out and play around with a ball either on your own or with a friend. If you do run and play with your stick you will be a stronger player for it, and therefore we will be a stronger team.
